Do you manage your Data Centers and where are they located?

Yes, we manage our Data Centers in seven Regions across the European Union (Germany), United States (East, Central, and West), Asia (Singapore and Japan), the UK, and Australia. Demand and need for our cloud hosting services keeps growing, so we plan on opening more Data Centers in more Regions around the world.

How can I contact your support in case of an inquiry?

Should you have any pre-sales inquiry about our products or if you face an issue with your server, you can contact our Customer Support via contact form or submit ticket. 64 highly trained individuals are waiting for your contact.

How long does the provisioning take and is there a way to track progress?

We try to set up your order as quickly as possible, but it depends on the payment method and the software image chosen. VPS, Virtual Dedicated Servers and Webspace plans are usually set up within minutes, but it may take up to 3 hours in case of some software images. The setup of Dedicated Servers can take up to 48 hours (on workdays), depending on your individual configuration and hardware availability.

What does the Port speed information in your offers mean exactly?

The Port speed (for example 1 Gbit/s) defines the maximum speed you can use for transferring data to and from your server. This is basically how fast the Network Interface Card in your Dedicated Server (or virtualized part of it in VPS and VDS) can transfer data. This should not be confused with a Unlimited Bandwidth. Should you require that, please check our Networking Add-Ons. By default, we guarantee Unlimited Traffic at an average of 100 Mbit/s to and from your server. For more details, please have a look at the specific terms of our offers.

How can I order a new product as an existing client?

If you already are one of our customers, please use your ServerSpace Customer Control Panel to place additional orders of new services. You will then be redirected to our website where you can select the products you want to purchase and complete the order process in just a few quick steps. All necessary information regarding your existing account will be pre-filled by our system.

How do I order upgrades for existing products?

You can order upgrades for existing products at any time through your ServerSpace Customer Control Panel. Just click on “Upgrade” besides the VPS you want to upgrade.

Billing-related Questions

What payment methods are available?

We offer different payment methods depending on the currency. Visa, MasterCard, Mada, Meza, All Local Payment Cards (AED,SAR,EG).

Which currencies are available? 

We offer different currencies. AED, SAR and EGP

Is currency dependent on my location?

No, not necessarily. You can choose the currency you want.

Why are prices in different currencies not exactly the same?

Currency exchange rates keep changing, so there is no way to precisely mirror the prices in every currency. We aim at the best possible stability of our prices by taking future development of exchange rates into account.

Where do I find my invoices?

At the beginning of every month we create your monthly invoice, which you can view and download in the menu item "Invoices" of your ServerSpace Customer Control Panel. There you can download all invoices - new and all old invoices. Irrespective of payments sent in advance, we are obligated to provide invoices for the services rendered. Invoices are a confirmation for your accounting that certain services have been used for a certain period. Usually, you have already paid in advance for an invoice. To find out whether a payment is required, please check your balance and the due dates of your services in the ServerSpace Customer Control Panel.

Where can I close the account?

You can cancel all of your services in your ServerSpace Customer Control Panel any time.

Software-related Questions

I need support for software installed on my Server. Can you please assist me?

Our technical experts will be happy to assist you with your individual software issues (like the installation of special software or scripts, database administration, etc.). This 'remote-hand' service by our IT professionals costs 300AED per beginning of each 15 minutes. However, please note that we cannot guarantee support for any possible software issue you might experience since we specialize in providing server infrastructure and we are not familiar with all possible applications you might run on your instance.

Is a reinstallation of the Operating System possible?

You can perform reinstallations or boot a rescue system anytime for free.

I want to reboot my server, how to proceed?

You can perform reboots of your servers for free anytime with just a few clicks. To do so, please log in to the ServerSpace Customer Control Panel and click on "Servers" in the top menu and click on "manage product" then click reboot

re there any restrictions regarding the content or the software installations on my Server?

In general, our Servers are unmanaged root servers. Our customers have exclusive access to their Servers. Provided that there are no violations against German law or our ToS (Terms of Service) we do not check what you are using your Server for.

How can I control my VPS / Virtual Dedicated Server / Dedicated Server?

You get full root access (for Linux) or full administrator access (for Windows) to your Server. This means you can install any software you want on your Server. For Linux remote access, please let us recommend the SSH client 'putty' - Windows server can be controlled via the 'Remote Desktop' client.

Is there a monitoring option available for my server?

Yes, such option is available. For this purpose, we offer our 'Full Monitoring' Add-On. This Add-On provides you with an individual login area with various monitoring features (and, if you wish, automatic alert messages) for your server.

VPS-specific Questions

I already have a VPS with ServerSpace. Can I migrate all of my data to a different VPS series?

No, due to their different architecture the two VPS series are incompatible. You can only switch series with a confirmed “loss of data”, which means that all your applications will have to be installed again by yourself on your new VPS.

Can I virtualize my VPS server?

Our virtual private servers do not support nested virtualization.

What projects and applications can I use VPS for?

Our customers use our virtual private servers for everything from self-hosting personal websites and file hosting to deploying production apps.

Can I use my own Windows license?

On our VPS, you cannot use your own Windows license. Due to our licensing agreement with Microsoft, you will need to use the Windows Server license provided by us. The terms of the license agreement require us to charge a monthly fee for Windows Server, which is determined by the size of the VPS you order.

Which operating systems are available for my VPS?

ServerSpace supports many operating systems (we firmly believe in offering as many choices as possible to our customers). You can choose from a wide range of popular Linux distributions: CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, and many others.

Do you offer admin panels for VPS?

Yes, we offer cPanel and Plesk admin at additional cost.
